IGREJA NOVA FESTIVAL
It seems just about every collection of houses worthy of being called a village has a festival, and my local, Igreja Nova, has a cracker that lasts nearly two weeks. It starts with hauling the Virgin Mary all over the place and then it's kick up hell once she's been put to bed.
These are just a few photographs, but they pale in comparison to the festa itself.
